Sofia Fivella
Hi everyone!
My name is Sofia Fivella. So nice to meet you! I have always wanted to have a website & it’s so crazy I actually have one now!
I was born & raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. But I have roots in Belize, as my mom is 100% Belizean & I spent many years there. I have a sister & I am so blessed my mom and dad are still living, so I try to visit Belize as often as possible. I met my husband in Hawaii in 2016, got engaged in 2017, got married in 2018, and had my daughter, Charlie in 2019!! I moved to Washington state in 2017, moved to Florida in October 2024 & now, back in Bremerton, Washington. Washington is absolutely home & we have no plans to move.
Before becoming a Licensed Esthetician in 2018, I had many jobs. Sometimes, I feel like an onion because I have many interests. I originally went to college to study Biology, but I could not understand Chemistry & it didn’t spark my joy. So, I dropped out & joined a telemarketing job (which there are so many in Belize). I then stopped working there & started working for a Belizean Entrepreneur who introduced me to so many businesses, including Hospitality, Restaurants, Real Estate, Marketing & I helped create one of Belize’s first modeling agencies. I learned so much, but I knew I desired something else. It wasn’t until I met my husband, that I decided I wanted to join the esthetics world. In 2017 I started esthetics school & was introduced to the Wonderful World of Esthetics.
Before graduating Esthetics School, I applied to a local Aveda salon & spa in Kitsap, Washington. I got an interview & got the job shortly after. For 5 years, I dedicated myself to learning the dos/don’ts of being an esthetician & running a business. I was able to see the things that worked & the things that didn’t. I gained soooooo much experience, as this spa was one of the very few that was a full service. I did it all, from relaxing facials, chemical peels, waxing men/women, sugaring men/women, body treatments, scalp treatments, lash extensions (we only did classics at one point!), lash lifts, hydrofacials(not affiliated with hydra facial fyi), front desk, you name it!!!
In 2022, I decided to go out on my own and open my own studio. It was so scary but I did it.
